Karen has had a life-time interest in photography. Her first camera was a Brownie that had belonged to her grandmother and mother before her. Her father was a good photographer and taught her how to use it and the Girl Scout camera that followed.
In the early 1970's she got her first 35mm camera. She took a series of photography classes in Seattle. These were billed as Ansel Adams classes for learning form, darkroom, and black & white photography. She wanted to know how to take good photographs, not just pictures, and has done so at a large number of National parks, monuments, and other places.
Karen always has at least one camera with her at all times in Southern Wisconsin where she resides.
